OKUYAY Meetings-10: Promoting Books in Magazines and Newspapers!
Since the day the platform was established, OKUYAY has exchanged ideas by inviting experts according to the subjects it has determined. The tenth of the OKUYAY Meetings which was created for this scope, has been was held online on August 18, 2020.
The subject of the meeting was “Promoting Books in Magazines and Newspapers”. Attendances who have been promoting books in different newspapers and magazines for a long time came together to raise awareness about reading. The importance of “recommendatory”, which came to the fore in Reading Culture Research 2019, was emphasized once again, and the magnitude of the contribution of such publications, books, and reading, whose number and page is gradually decreasing today, was mentioned. Opinions were also given at the meeting about the shift of such promotions to digital channels and the dynamics here.
